Call for Art for Nevada Artists Association's 2024 Winter Show

The Nevada Artists Association will be accepting entries for the 2024 Judged Winter Show on February 10, 10am-1pm.

When: The Winter Show opens February 10th and runs through March 22, 2024. Your original artwork is to be delivered on Saturday, February 10, 2024, 10am to 1pm. NO LATE ENTRIES will be accepted.
Pick up work that has not sold on March 23, which is also show change for the member’s Spring Has Sprung Show.

Where: Nevada Artists Association Art Gallery, 449 W. King Street, Carson City

How many: Limit 3 entries per person

Who: Open to NAA members and non-members.
Participants must be 13 years or older.

How much: Members’ fees: 1st piece $10, 2nd and 3rd pieces $5 each.
Non-member fees: 1st piece $20, 2nd and 3rd piece $10 each

Entries:
Send photos of each entry with file names that state the title of the piece and your name. Rename the file like this: Desert River by (your name) to naacarsoncity@gmail.com. by February 9th. Also, in the subject line of your email put the name of the show and your full name.

Have entries gallery ready for hanging with substantial and appropriate hanging hardware (no saw tooth hangers or other hardware glued, stapled, or taped to frame). Do tape the ends of the wires with masking tape and secure wall bumpers on the corners of the work that will touch the display wall. Each entry must be labeled on the back with your name, title of entry, price and category. Entries may not have been entered in any previous NAA judged show and may not exceed 16 square feet (including frame).

Work will be rejected that does not meet these requirements or follow the Presentation Guidelines in Show Rules and Regulations. All entries must be for sale and remain for the duration of the show unless sold. Sold work may not be replaced with other work.

Judging/Awards

Following the theme or title of the show is optional but encouraged. Cash awards and ribbons are awarded for the Best of Show, and for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category. Honorable Mentions awarded in each category will receive ribbons.

There must be at least 3 entries in a category to signify judging. Any category not receiving 3 entries will be combined with the “Other” category and if there are 3 or more in “Other”, they will be judged as a category.

The public will be invited to vote for People’s Choice throughout the exhibit. The winner will be awarded a ribbon and cash, and the work displayed for sale during the next show, if not sold during the Winter Show.

Reception:
Please invite your friends and family to the Reception and Awards Presentation which is also open to the public from 2-4pm on Sunday, February 18th .
